Student of the Month program recognizes outstanding students as well as the most improved. Scholarships are awarded at a student recognition banquet held at the end of the school year.

When school resumes, this will be a very active part of our website posting photos from our monthly Student of the Month Luncheons.  Area schools participate by selecting students each month who are most improved and then the student, family and school staff are invited to the Red Barn of the first Tuesday of the month for a special recognition ceremony.

At the end of the year- top students are recognized at end of the school year banquet.  This photo is from the banquet held in May 2011.

The Kiwanis Annual Student Recognition Banquet honored student of area schools with awards and cash scholarships. The Guest Speaker this year was Melissa Redman, a Silver High School graduate and Key Club Past Lt. Governor. Melissa spoke to her peers about the challenges that young people face and provided worthy advice for all. Melissa is now attending New Mexico State University and is serving as their CKI President. Pictured form the left are Melissa Redman, her guest Luke Candalaria, Banquet Chairman Kari Scullion, and Award Presenter, Judge Maurine Laney.
