Lt. Govenor's Family helping at Montlure Camp
Member, Linda Rowse, organizes CYFD Foster Kid Picnic

Service Leadership Runs Through the Family!   Our Lt. Govenor's Family Give from their Heart Everyday!

Our Lt. Governor shares this story about her son, Brian Carson.  The young man in the photo is her son and his wife, Cheresse, with their two children—Our Lt. Gov. grandchildren.

The little girl is our Lt. Gov. granddaughter, Kaylee Marie Carson, who is 4 1/2 and the little boy is a grandson, Andrew James Carson, who is 20 months old.   Three of the girls in the work crew are KEY CLUB Members from Lake Havasu.
Here is the story: They are working at Montlure Camp, which is located just outside of Greer, Arizona.  This camp is a non-denominational camp owned by Presbytery.  This camp was victim to the Wallow Fire.  Several structures such as dorms and a bath house and a beautiful Prayer Amphitheatre, along with their beautiful scenery were destroyed.

Brian and his family reside in North Peoria, Arizona and Brian has a long history with Montlure.  He began attending camp there when he was in fifth-grade. He continued as a camper, then a counselor, then Director of several of the camps.  He received an award from Montlure for 13 years of dedicated service.  Since the family started to grow, Brian has not been directly involved with Montlure, however, his heart and memories will always be a part of him.

He has touched the lives of so many children during his years of Montlure and they have made a profound effect on him. He is working on completing his Masters of Divinity at this time and is working with Pure Heart Church in the Phoenix area where is the Youth Pastor.   Because of his calling and his undying care of people, he saw the need to reach out and help.  He became  involved with a Presbyterian Ministry in Springerville and the planning began.
